Essie-Coat Azure and Netflix Confessions

Why yes, I do love Gene Simmons Family Jewels.  I have no explanation or defense.  I just do.  Just like I love Coat Azure, I was surprised by how this blooms and shimmers on the nail.  Much better out of the bottle!

Zoya-Sooki and Sinful Colors-Why Not

Well, the colors are bold and beautiful but neither are for me.  Sooki is not a good red match for my skin, although it is a great tomato cream red.  Why Not pissed me off with all the crazy staining, I have never had a polish stain like this one did.  It ticked me off so much that it was sent in for the Zoya exchange, I didn't feel I could pass it on to others and have the stain ghost follow me.

OPI-What's With The Cattitude

Can you tell I went through a pastel cream phase this spring?  I didn't have a baby blue and went and settled on this one.  It hit the spot.  I almost want another one that is a little bit more subtle.  Ha!  Never satisfied with my stash.  Actually, I'm slowing down drastically with what I buy.

Blue In The Air

I'm not sure about the name, but either way I love it!

After two days I needed some darkness and added my new favorite thing ever, China Glaze's Black Mesh on top.  I then wore it for another few days.

My Attempts to Dupe Deborah Lippman's Glitter In The Air

 The main players in my first one.  I then made a light blue and light pink base ones.

Pretty good dupe if you ask me and a whole lot cheaper!

My thumb is Sally Hansen Grey Area which I added a few drops to the original Glitter In The Air Dupe.  Here you can see the other two dupes on my index and middle finger.  I had China Glaze Heli-Yum on my pinky with Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure on top.  I was just messing around with the polish on my desk.

The next day they were able to play in the sun and I did a full manicure with the light blue one, which will be up tomorrow!  All in all, I would call my frankens a success.

My Ugliest Manicure to Date.

It all started out well enough.  LA Girls Icon.  It reminds me of Zoya Kelly or Misa Office Polish-tics although I haven't swatched them.  It does have one difference though, a slight gold shimmer.

And then I decided to crackle.  My middle finger and thumb turned out horribly although I was being careful to make sure to put on thick layers to get the big cracks.  And I had made sure the bottle was mixed well before I used it.  Apparently not well enough.  Lightning Bolt....ugh.  I immediately wanted to give it away and take my manicure off.  But no, I decided to go deeper into the ugly.

I thought adding the purple crackle, Fault Line on top would make up for those two horrible nails.  But no.  They did not have a crackle love baby and it just looked like I put purple polish on top.  To further the ugly, I then added Sinful Colors Deep Red Ocean.   Which in fact should be named Deep Pink Ocean.  There is nothing red about it.  I have nothing left to say other than I apologize to my nails and eyes.

China Glaze-Rodeo Fanatic

China Glaze Rode Fanatic has some green and purple (that I could not capture!) that shows up at times.  I was surprised at how complex this color was.  And then I added the stinky, yet beautiful Cover Girl Anti-Freeze on top.  Sorry about the mess of my nails.  I've been sick for a month now and well, if I paint my nails I don't worry too much about what they look like bc I don't leave the house much.  And the rest of the posts I'm scheduling and likely from here on out may just be names and photos. Sorry about that, but I can't manage a lot right now.

China Glaze-Crushed Candy on top of Wet 'n Wild-Bite the Bullet and Sinful Colors-Nirvana

I started out with Wet 'n Wild-Bite the Bullet.  But I got bored.

So I added Sinful Colors-Nirvana to accent nails.  Which I liked.  It's a new color I picked up the other week.  Plenty of dupes out there. 

And then China Glaze-Crushed Candy to finish it off!  I haven't even been wearing it for twelve hours and I already want to take it off and try another manicure with the crackle polish!

Jessie's Girl-Glee

 Sometimes, you just need to laugh.  I've managed to get behind this vehicle twice in the past few weeks.  I imagine there is a lot of farting they try to save seeing as this was on a huge SUV.

Glee is beautiful.  I don't own Zoya Charla or OPI Catch Me In Your Net to compare but from what I've seen they are dupes.  The application is great and it went on well.  I was surprised given that they were $3.  I put this on a Saturday evening and took it off Wednesday evening and could have easily worn it longer.  Absolutely no tip wear at all!

China Glaze-2Nite and Kleancolor glitter

What was I thinking?!  That I was ready to take 2Nite off and I was snowed in...and I should play.  My nails never saw the light, and barely the night of day.  This was a lot of effort to get that minimal glitter on there.  The manicure quickly came off.

China Glaze-2Nite

With all the buzz about the new China Glaze holographic collection coming out I decided to pull out an old one.  This is 2Nite, probably my favorite of the few I have.  It reminds me of a blue I was obsessed with in college.  I also love that my phone picked up the beautiful holographic nature of the polish.  It really is this stunning.  I'm not sure if I'll pick up anymore holos with the new collection though.  I forgot how horrible their application is!  But worth the trouble....for today.
