Enchanted Polish-Across the Universe

A gorgeous Indie color but not my cup of tea. I ended up giving it away.

OPI Ink Suede

Gorgeous. Nothing else to say except now I want all the suede polishes!

Essie-Demure Vixen and China Glaze Crackle Latticed Lilac

Demure Vixen gives me lobster claws.  It will be going to live with one of my best friends!  I added Latticed Lilac on top, and it's better but it did not crackle too well.  My relationship with crackle, love you and hate you.  So frustrating that I think I've figured out what to do to have it crack (always shake before applying) but it may be that the fact that I live without central air right now wreaks too much havoc.

Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac and OPI-Silver Shatter

I have a stash of photos to show you.  I didn't mean to stay away from blogging for so long but not having a working camera means all my photos are low quality.  Oh well, I'll continue to try my best.  Anyways, here we have a lovely Lilac by Sally Hansen, it was a bit thick, but a lovely cream pastel.  I am loving all the crackles that come out, and Silver Shatter is no exception.  I have noticed that you have to shake them up a lot, especially after they are opened once and even more so with the hot weather.  I just put some on tonight and did not shake it up enough and well, the results are disaster.  Guess I need to repaint them, eh?  Maybe I'll redo this manicure since it was so long ago!  Nah, I have a box full of untrieds and some favorites that need some loving.  Maybe my favorite brown...

Sinful Colors-San Francisco and China Glaze-Fault Line

I found San Francisco!  Unfortunately the application was horrible and it needs a new home.  I am pretty patient with polish, but this, ugh.  It was horrible.  Pretty enough, but I'll stick with Rimmel's Camouflage.

I then added Fault Line on top and proceeded to be agitated by my nails.  Mardi Gras lover or not, this color combo was not for me.

Nubar-Vaso and Ching Glaze-Black Mesh

More evidence that I need a Black Mesh intervention.
This was my first Nubar.  It went on well enough but the tips did something weird.  Maybe it doesn't play well with Seche Vite?

Surprise surprise, I liked it better with Black Mesh over it!

My Ugliest Manicure to Date.

It all started out well enough.  LA Girls Icon.  It reminds me of Zoya Kelly or Misa Office Polish-tics although I haven't swatched them.  It does have one difference though, a slight gold shimmer.

And then I decided to crackle.  My middle finger and thumb turned out horribly although I was being careful to make sure to put on thick layers to get the big cracks.  And I had made sure the bottle was mixed well before I used it.  Apparently not well enough.  Lightning Bolt....ugh.  I immediately wanted to give it away and take my manicure off.  But no, I decided to go deeper into the ugly.

I thought adding the purple crackle, Fault Line on top would make up for those two horrible nails.  But no.  They did not have a crackle love baby and it just looked like I put purple polish on top.  To further the ugly, I then added Sinful Colors Deep Red Ocean.   Which in fact should be named Deep Pink Ocean.  There is nothing red about it.  I have nothing left to say other than I apologize to my nails and eyes.

Borghese-Stellare Notte

I don't know if this one didn't live up to the hype in my head or that I was craving black and couldn't find the polish I wanted to put on.  Either way it agitated the snow out of me.  Kind of like OPI-Teasy Does It did.  I'll try it again since it seems like a color I would like.  I'm starting to figure out that maybe I don't love purple polishes.  Weird.  The Borghese formula, as always, was amazing.

China Glaze-Below Deck and Cover Girl Anti-Freeze

Now I get the hype about China Glaze releasing an almost Channelesque dupe.  I don't own it to compare but the pictures I've seen make them almost identical.  this one goes straight to my favorites and I love it with Anti-Freeze on top!

Sally Hansen-Deeply Violet

This one was hard to capture.  I didn't get a good picture.  It was much more vibrant than the picture shows!

China Glaze-Crushed Candy on top of Wet 'n Wild-Bite the Bullet and Sinful Colors-Nirvana

I started out with Wet 'n Wild-Bite the Bullet.  But I got bored.

So I added Sinful Colors-Nirvana to accent nails.  Which I liked.  It's a new color I picked up the other week.  Plenty of dupes out there.
And then China Glaze-Crushed Candy to finish it off!  I haven't even been wearing it for twelve hours and I already want to take it off and try another manicure with the crackle polish!

Rimmel-Hit That

Rimmel-Hit That is definitely one of my favorites.  I hate the name though.  Another great find by my father.  I think that Rimmel had some colors that have similar and/or dupes coming out.  I left this polish on until it was actually cracking throughout.

China Glaze Crackle Polishes!!!

I'm so excited!  Even though I'm in strep throat steroid and antibiotics land, I had to do a little swatch for you!

Left to right:  Crushed Candy, Black Mesh, Broken Hearted, Fault Line, Cracked Concrete and Lightning Bolt

Lightning Bolt, probably my least favorite.
 Fault Line-It's gorgeous!
Broken Hearted-a deep and bright pink.

Crushed Candy-I love this one and how it looks with the turqoise.  The name baffles me though!
Black Mesh-Black crackle.  What else is there to say?

Cracked Concrete-Sorry about the blurry picture, I struggled with this one a lot.  But I love it!

Here's a picture of my base color.  Santee-Beach Blue.  Amazing cream turquoise.  I bought it for a buck in Florida.  Four days later and it looks pretty much the same.

Overall, I love the China Glaze Crackle collection and know that I will be playing a lot with them!  I cannot wait.
